In February 2016 Daybreak gaming company announced that they have decided to split H1Z1 into two parts. H1Z1 had a very rocky start but despite that, the CEO of Daybreak Game Company John Smedley announced that the game had sold more than one million copies. When the developers of H1Z1 released a patch to fix all the bugs the servers of H1Z1 went offline. Players also faced a lot of difficulties entering a game server. Players were not able to log in to their accounts. In the beginning, H1Z1 had a lot of bugs and technical issues. H1Z1 was first released on the popular platform Steam in January 2015. To date, H1Z1 has been under two companies which are Daybreak Game Company and NantG Mobile. It has been split into different parts during development which gave birth to other games called H1Z1: Just Survive and H1Z1: King of the Kill. H1Z1 is popularly called Z1 Battle Royale in the gaming community. In a short period, H1Z1 made a name for itself in the gaming community because of the multiplayer mode. H1Z1 was developed and published by the popular company called Daybreak Game Company. At first, H1Z1 was released on the Microsoft Windows platform, and later on the 7th of August 2018, it was released for the PlayStation 4 platform.
It makes sense that this program, or some version of it, would begin with a Sony-owned game that the company has control of.H1Z1 also known as H1Z1 Battle Royale is a survival multiplayer game that was released in February 2018. Last month, Sony said it was looking into allowing developers to release in-progress versions of their games. H1Z1 on PS4 will go up against the console version of DayZ, which creator Dean Hall announced last week during Sony's Gamescom briefing.Īlso during SOE Live, the company announced that PlanetSide 2 will be available on PS4 later this year as an "early access" game, meaning an unfinished version of the final product. It launches for PC through Steam Early Access later this year, though a specific release date for that version has not been announced. Inspired by DayZ and The Walking Dead, H1Z1 was announced earlier this year. SOE also developed DC Universe Online, which is currently available on PS4. After a delay, the game is now expected to launch on the platform later this year (more on that later). H1Z1 is not the only free-to-play game from SOE headed to PS4, as Sony announced last year that PlanetSide 2 is coming to the console.
SOE did not announce a release date for the PS4 version of H1Z1. This isn't too much of a surprise, as SOE president John Smedley teased back in May that a PS4 version could happen. Sony Online Entertainment's zombie game H1Z1 is coming to PlayStation 4, the developer confirmed during its recently concluded SOE Live 2014 event.
